Xavier University- Culture and Arts Office and National Commission for Culture and the Arts will hold SULAT DULA- a basic playwriting workshop for North/ Central/ Eastern Mindanao on November 6-8, 2009 at Xavier University Board room. There are 10 slots open for young aspiring (20-35 years old) playwrights. This workshop aims at establishing a sustained playwright development in Mindanao.

Interested applicants should submit the following requirements:

1. One page synopsis of an original story or a story idea with its accompanying treatment or concept paper for a one-act play;
2. Draft manuscript of an originally written one-act play (optional);
3. Certification from an authority or professor who can attest the originality of work;
4. Comprehensive resume with two 2×2 ID pictures;
5. Photocopy of resident certificate.

Deadline for submission of entries: October 22, 2008
