You are invited to the 3rd “Why Not?” Forum on January 26, 2008, 3 pm at the Magnet Cafe at Bonifacio High Street (near the big Nike building).  This forum started last year as a project to democratize access to great speakers, to create a platform for ingenious Filipinos and their stories and most importantly, to inspire all of us to ask the question, “Why not?“

The talks for the first forum are up on the site already; the talks for the second, already in post production.  With the overwhelming response so far, we are heartened to continue posting these great talks.

And as much as the site is important, the audience in the actual forum is important too.  We need you to ask the difficult questions, to show support or even to challenge our speakers.  Or at the minimum, look extremely interested as the camera pans the audience.

I find that the speakers react to the audience, so definitely a quality group of people, like yourselves, would be most welcome at the forum.

Please consider going: bring your friends, officemates, students, significant other/s, etc.

ABOUT “WHY NOT?” FORUM:

The Why Not? Forum (www.whynotforum.com) is inspired by TEDTalks (www.ted.com) , wherein leading thinkers and doers around the globe share their thoughts, ideas, dreams, and experiences, which are then posted on the web as online videos for all the world to see. We envision The Why Not? Forum to be the Filipino version.

The Why Not? As such, the topics of the forum are not limited to a narrowly-defined set of fields. At its heart, The Why Not? Forum is about Filipinos sharing with the rest of the world their unique point-of-view in their uniquely chosen field.  We envision this as a venue wherein diverse Filipinos –- everyone from engineers, artists, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, academicians, designers, people from government, writers, technology enthusiasts, musicians, etc — can get together to share their thoughts and ideas and dreams.
